In partnership with UCANR, the Lockeford PMC is hosting a Fall Field Day from 10 – 12 on September 17. The topic is Summer Forage and Cover Crops and will include the following:

  • Climate Considerations for Irrigated Pasture – Philip Brownsey, NRCS Rangeland Management Specialist
  • Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education Grant – C4 Perennial Grasses Study – Theresa Becchetti, Farm Advisor, UCCE
  • Annual Forages for Grazing Systems Demonstration – Kristan Norman and Fletch Nelson NRCS Area Rangland Management Specialists and Tom Johnson Agronomist, Kamprath Seed
  • Warm Season Cover Crop Demonstration – Margaret Smither-Kopperl, PMC Manager and Tom Johnson, Agronomist, Kamprath Seed
